A 1968 closure post, there used to be an orlit B by the post near the road, but this has long gone.

For a 1968 closure it's in decent nick, getting to the post is very awkard as there's no pavement on the road so it basically involves parking a fair bit down and walking up abit on the a road.

Double Diamond Burton Pale Ale is an English pale ale, first brewed in 1876 by Samuel Allsopp & Sons. It was one of the highest selling beers in the United Kingdom in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Yes I'm old

Remember Watney's Red, Bass Special, Hancock's Five Five, Worthington E, and Whitbread Tankard?

Watneys Red Barrell - that takes me back, used to drink that and also Watneys Cream Label.

If I'm remembering right.......cos we're talking the best of 50 years ago here, wasn't it originally called Red Barrel......then they changed the name to Red and it started to taste like piss?

You guys back there should see if you can get some of this stuff.....Felinfoel Double Dragon. I don't hold out much hope of finding it here!
