I'd been really looking forward to seeing this place, so today, a fellow explorer and I headed up.

As has been mentioned before, the place is really photogenic.

The buildings at risk register has this summary:

'Pithead baths in Modern Movement style. 1938 by FG Frizzell. Vacant for 19 years and subject to vandalism. Future of the overall site continues to be in doubt, particularly since closure of associated Ellington Colliery in January 2005.'

Just included some of my favourite photo's of the place here.

So after a little walk, we were there...

I loved the lockers.

I noticed that the shower areas had different colour codes or something.

More lockers! I probably could have spent all day taking photo's of these.

Didn't get up the tower as security were in full view of the way into it with their pick up truck. At least it seemed that way. Another time though.

After this place we checked out the old railway yard and sheds at Cambois, but they're worse than worse sadly, so I doubt the place is worthy of a report.
