A pretty well known site to most on here, but still a good 'un. I met up with my Dutch mates again for a day of exploring in March and as we were in the area I suggested Maison de Viron as I'd never been and it was do-able again. Turns out they'd been three times before but as we were so close they agreed it was worth tacking this one onto the beginning of our day. We arrived at 6.30am and crept inside in the dark and straight up to the top floor in the almost pitch black. As we got to the top floor and got our bearings the sun had started to come up and this place came alive with the warm sun which shone straight through the windows (or in some cases the gaps where the windows had been). We then made our way down through the floors as the sun rose and lit up the lower parts of the house. Almost an hour and half had gone past and it was time to go, but I could have spent a lot longer here.
