The Montessori Method of Education is a child-centred educational approach based on the scientific observations of children, developed by the Italian physician Maria Montessori over a century ago. The system is in use in independent schools across the world in various forms, but all of the methods view the child as the one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It attempts to develop children physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively with mixed-age classrooms, greater student choice, specialised educational materials and specially trained Montessori teachers among other things.

Meadowbrook School near Ascot was run under the Montessori method at this location for almost three decades, admitting children between the ages of 18 months to 11 years old before they moved to a larger, better suited site in 2018.
Hard to believe its only been empty since then, the place is completely battered with only a few decent features remaining.

yeah noticed that on early reports, strange that there was no sign of demo starting or anything.

I went there in May and looking at those pics, it's changed a lot. There is no school stuff inside and it's boarded up! But I've managed to find a way in. Very weird.

Shame but it had gone down when I went from.prev reports, I believe its being pulled?

I have no idea, I'm situated in slough which is very far away from there. It happened that I convinced my dad to drive me to ascot so I can "meet up with my friends"... in reality I wanted to go explore the heatherwood hospital but it had just too many workers and there was no way on earth that I'd go in. So I go on 28dl and look for places near me and found this school and I didn't realise how far it was till halfway there. It took me around an hour and a half and over 4 km of walking. So idk if its being pulled down, maybe I'll check one day if I'm really bothered.

I was incorrect about the 4km, it was actually around 5 miles. I took a very weird way. Running that would be like a marathon for me 😅. I have no idea if the place is still not gone. Do you know if it's gone?
