Visit a while ago with Raddog. Despite the fact it's been destroyed by kids at some point it was suprisingly hard to get into the compound! Many many stingers, brambles, babbling brookes and spoil heaps later we were in!
Most of the buildings are 60's and 70's, although the whole place had suffered a 1990's refurb so 60's style was scarce!
Also, despite the amount of destruction, we did find some very old and interesting things. The crown jewel was a wiring map of B'ham, lovingly reproduced out of fine wire and cardboard legend plates... a true work of art that deserves a wall spot at "Think tank" instead of being left to get destroyed
