Report - MV Royal Iris - River Thames - Dec 2014

Hey Guys,

I have been exploring for a few years but I have finally decided to post a report of my most recent.. (Visited on 09.12.14)

As for the History, forgive me for being a little lazy here.. > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Royal_Iris

Access was extremely simple and seccu didn't give us any issues, spent a while on the ship and was even spotted by a passing boat.. but nothing came of it.

If anyone local to London/Essex/Herts fancy teaming up, let me know. This is my very first photographed post, even though ive been to a few cool places including Camden Catacombs, Grain Tower/battery/tunnel and the Gunpowder Mills in Waltham Abbey. (I assure you my camera, editing and report skills will soon improve)...

I believe its flooded.

The engine room is flooded.

The reason security did not bother you is because there is none. The place looks more fucked than when i stuck up a report in the summer.

Good stuff,there is some hope that it can be restored one day but i reckon its unlikely.

It is currently in the process of being restored. I bumped into the guy who owns it and had a wuick chat with him, lets hope he can actually bring it back to life a little.

I hope so too!

Yes the engine room was flooded, I did try to get down there but didn't fancy drowning! lol

Either way, its a cool place with a great atmosphere.

Nice pics. Such a shame to see it go even further downhill since my last visit. Did you get a pic of the stage? That's where The Beatles performed in the early 60s. Here's few pics from one of my visits.
