Oilite has been playing on my mind for several years now, closed since 2006 it has gradualy been getting more and more explorable. My first few visits were scuppered by PIRs and alarms, each time managing to see slightly more before i tripped up and had to leave. I visited for a 4th time today with Brickman after getting a heads up from Dave and Joe that the whole place was now explorable. The Ipswich pikeys must have had a profitable 2009 thats all i can say! The place as gone exactly the same way as Cranes, massive holes in the fence, every door off its hinges but still with epicness spewing from every room! Ipswich really has come up with the goods again, a really nice oldskool factory with parque floors and 70s signage! Another top class derelict labratory (the 3rd within 10 miles of each other!) another mint surgery, cool canteen and a whole lot more to boot. No so happy with my pics but well chuffed to have this stuff so close!
