A complete fail in communications at work ended up in me having a day off 
, so I did this place which I have wanted to do for a while. Not really sure if my pics are worthy of a report but I'll give it a shot. Feel free to bin mods

It felt really strange coming back here as i have many memories from this place, visiting A&E, visiting my Nan and Grandad whilst they were here after surgery. It really did bring back some memories.
About a year ago this place was still in really good nick but it has really gone down hill since then. This was a massive site, most buildings have been demo'd and only the listed ones remain. But in true developer style, they have been left to rot to a state of disrepair.
Anyway a little history:
The hospital closed on the 15th of December 2007 along with Harold Wood hospital.
The site was also previously called Romford Union Workhouse (1838 - 1893) & Romford Poor Law Institution (1893 - 1929).
This building was beautiful in its day when the grounds were kept nice.
New Hospital that replaced Oldchurch and Harold Wood in the distance.
Not many internal shots as its all the same.. trashed.
