Met up with Hpipe, Kempes, Freddyokel and Evilgenius in London.
Overnight in a hostel then onto the Eurostar at the crack of sparrow fart.

After stocking up on carbide/camping gas/wine/cheese/saucisson etc. We headed into the GRS mid-afternoon.

We spent a few hours stomping around, through Le Cellier:

In fact, more time was spent stomping than taking photos on the first day. Eventually we arrived at Anschluss to crash out for the night:

The following morning we were all suitably refreshed. After some cassoulet we headed to the Carthusian Monk's Fountain:

Paused for a group shot in the bunker

Then headed to one of the ossuaries:

Lots of trudging through wet passages:

And also dry passages:

Stopped for dinner at the Pigs Room:

Then paid our respects to Philibert, on the 206th anniversary of his burial here.

Had a quick look around another bunker:

Then headed into the central area of the network to find a place to sleep.
We found the perfect spot to settle and, in true Parisian style, a bunch of cataphiles showed up with music, food and drink. Soon we were following them to a party back up in the North.

We woke up much later the following day back in the middle of the network, though the details of how we got back there remain a little hazy.

After some painkillers, lucozade and cassoulet we were back on the trail.

We headed South, through lots of tunnels and random rooms:

Ending up back at La Plage:

Then a quick look in an old aqueduct:

We stumbled around for a while longer before making an uneventful exit after just over 50 hours underground.
There's something very satisfying about travelling on the Metro covered in quarry jizz and smelling like a Bolivian unicyclist's jockstrap. :)

Thanks to OT and Urban junky for various current information.
A good time was had by all. :thumb
