Peter Laycock mill is a fine redbrick building built at the turn of the century, with later single story additions on the side. Whatever Peter Laycock did there is little or on trace of it, and the mill has had other uses, including a recording studio! Despite this all the original iron work is visable, and even some line shaft wheels on the top floor.
The water tower had a single iron ladder to the top, which offered good views over the surrounding area. Not the best explore, but an interesting half a hour.
