History
Historical records relate that a mediaeval manor house existed somewhere on the site from at least 1284 to 1431 and it is possible that portions of the earlier house may survive within the fabric of the west wing. Soon after the three wings were completed a garderobe tower was added to the north east corner, overlooking the brook and rolling parkland. Many of the 16th century arrangements have been altered by successive waves of taste and need, with the exception of the drawing room where the paneling and ceiling are amongst the finest of their type and date back to 1626.
Some of the more famous guests to stay at Pitchford over the years include Queen Victoria who as Princess Victoria, aged 13 was entertained at the Hall in 1832 by the then owner 3rd Earl of Liverpool. An extract from her diary recalls "at about twenty minutes to five we arrived at Pitchford, a curious looking but very comfortable house. It is striped black and white and in the shape of a cottage". During her stay she watched the local hunt from the Tree house

Firstly I must say hats off to @Lenston , he helped massively with this so thanks mate

Visited with @hamtagger ,We set off early, a 2.5 hour trip led us to where we needed to be, parked the car up, got our stuff and set off. The first stream we came to we had to get over, after the rain we had Friday night, the water was a little deeper than expected but we made it across no worries. Next up, we had to cross the river, over a wier though so not deep at all. Sadly, not low enough for me to run or walk across without getting drenched so off came the socks and trainers and I literally paddled across. Had been there literally 5 minutes when I had to change in to my shorts due to the heat, while HT had his big boots and combats on and dressed all in black there was me in a nice little vest and shorts. Not good for stinging nettles though... but really good if you have Hamtagger battling through them first, thank you

Now, we spent 4 hours trying to find access, it was a mission. Anyone who has visited will know that 4 hours trying to get in this place we would have covered everything. Sadly, the place had been locked down in the last week. Not a good start, we weren't ones to give up until we had literally exceeded every angle. HT made it down over a 15ft wall and thankfully got me in. Not an easy task.

We had a great explore, checked out everything we wanted to see and was really amazed by the place. I am quite in to the history of some of the places I visit so I felt quite privileged to be in the rooms where Queen Victoria once sat or slept. It is by far one of the best explores I have had the pleasure of doing.

All in all we spent nearly 8 hours there, sadly the treehouse is now locked too. That was one part I really wanted to see but never mind. There has been signs put up now saying Private property keep out and also Police dog training signs. Never found the 'secret' room which was a shame but maybe someone else has/will

We were literally in the last room when HT came in to say there was a man coming towards the place, so we shut the door and hid in a corner. He walked in and was quite aggressive when he saw us. We just stayed calm and let him speak. He told us that someone had visited recently who he had caught, who ever it was told him that he had been told it was literally a walk in. He was fed up of people coming in so it had to be sealed. This guy had been out Friday buying padlocks and yale locks for all of the doors and the only reason he wasn't there when we went was because he was out buying more. He told us the guys were 'bloody urban explorers' so we told him we had been for a walk and suddenly came across this place and decided to take some pics. He asked for our names for the police as he said the police were down there Friday but in the end he just told us to go. He was OK in the end. We weren't rude, just polite and I think he could see we meant no harm. I am not sure if he got some grief from who he caught. He also mentioned he had seen Pitchford Hall on an Urbex site earlier that day. The day ended well though and we were so glad after waiting so long to visit we did actually manage to get in to see it. I would say this is going to be completely sealed by the time you read this, which is a shame but that's how it goes.

OK, on with the pics. Tried to give something a little different but it's hard when its so bloody beautiful!

most of the internal doors are locked , can only get about a small part of the house even if you do find the way in

We were very lucky, the guy looking after it had been out to buy more padlocks that morning. Such a beautiful place but a mega mission to find entry.

Its a great building, some good pictures there, glad you guys got in ok
Thanks @Lenston :thumb
