Yep, this one's been done a few times and it's nothing special. Visited this one with Tom Sherman. Quite a nostalgic visit for him as he'd been in here when it was active and still remembered all the small details.
To say this place is trashed is an understatement. It is literally just a crumbling, dilapidated mass of asbestos and pigeon shit. After dancing around on the roof like a pair of idiots in full view of a crown court and a high street, we were nabbed near the train station 10 minutes after leaving when 6 cops appeared out of nowhere accusing us of nicking pipes and demanding to see our cameras. They asked us "have you been on the roof?" despite obviously knowing we had, that's likely how they saw us. They were probably trying to see if we would lie. After a rummage through our bags and a lecture about trespassing we were sent on our merry way.
Oh and sorry I can't find any history on the place but perhaps you could if you were interested enough.
