A little bit of background then - Not much, as there are a couple of posts up on here already and I don't want to bore you repeating the information too much...
So, Rossendale experienced it's complete closure in September 2010. The closure is still so new it is still listed on several websites
lack of up to date info on these sites could lead you to believe it's still open... Believe me it's not!!
The hospital began life as Haslingden Workhouse in the late 1860s. All sorts of fun and interesting stuff can be found about the workhouse as is was - but sadly nothing relevant to the hospital as it became.

Now - let the photos begin!
Stairs leading up to Main Entrance 1
Main Entrance Number 1 - With obligatory loan chair
No getting in this way anymore!
Black and white of the above
One of the older parts of the Hospital
One of the old entrances - warning of Asbestos all over the place round this bit
Just after we'd got in... Lots of fun machines with buttons to press:
In a dark dark house (hospital) down some dark dark stairs in a dark dark basement...
Medical bits and pieces all around
Wonder what happened here...?
Something a bit different:
Looking at the old hospital from the back - Kinda looks more like a farm!
We had a wander down that way and decided to pause as Mr Security man and his friend (not shown on this pic!) were also having a wander...
Planning to go again in the future once we have wellies and hats sorted - low roof and me boucing my head off a drain

Thanks for looking!
