Visited today with Heavenlyphoto. After getting hopelessly lost on the Brighton one way system, I finally met up with HP to have a look around. This place is amazing. I've no idea of the history, or when it closed, but the amount of effort that went into making the patients feel as close to home as possible beggars belief. What also beggars belief is the total lack of respect shown by the pikeys who've been nicking the lead, the little sods who've been vandalising the buildings, and even the contractors who've been in to strip out the asbestos.
I don't know what the future is supposed to be, but if someone doesn't get a move on, there won't be much left worth saving before long. Anyway, on with the pics.
The only pic I got of the kitchens
Lots of these beautiful walkways, I don't know what the roofcoverings had been, but they've been stripped and these are going downhill fast
