Yes, not too surprising to find a Gilkes - I think this is the fifth one I've found in Cumbria - they still have a factory in Kendal.

Fairbanks Morse is more interesting to me as they went on to build American railroad locomotives. However your report enlightens me to something I would never dream of looking for - well done

I like reading all industrial reports. But yours are always the ones I go too mainly. So many forget the smaller stuff in exploring and go for the big stuff. You cover it all and in great detail. And your knowledge is fantastic..I personally prefer these smaller things sometimes. Funny I am going hunting windmills this weekend in my he county, well they are actually wind pumps.
