After two disappointing visits to Severalls recently, today I was gonna get a result. I've had my eye on Myland Court for a while and today access was interesting to say the least. I had about 2 hours inside mooching around. Here's a little history about it.
Myland Court was built 1910 to 1913 just north of the main hospital, it is one of the original satellite villa's. When it opened it was for private patients, so if you had the money you could hide mad aunt Flo there. Consisting of two wings, the east wing was for male patients and west for the females. In later years Myland Court housed the ECT unit, the Mother and Baby Unit and an Ocupational Therapy department.
