Inspired by Rookinella's report on the island, myself and fellow 28DL user, AWOL, decided to pay a visit and do a little hitch hiking at the same time. We managed to go from North Cambidgeshire to Falkirk in Scotland, got soaked camping on a roundabout before we made it down to Birmingham for dry and warm nights sleep in some woods before we hit Tenby the following day.
The fort itself was even better than we thought it was going to be, The outcrop of rock that it sits on has Pirates of the Carribean written all over it! The tide was lapping at the edge of the cave as we arived so after a plate of chips a kind local had brought us we ventured down to see how else we could get in. We elected for the now sea worn steps and simply jumped over the fence and under the second conmplete with heavy rucksacks we use for hitching! After an attack by a sea gull and some moves only Andy McNab could improve on we found ourselves inside the fort thanks to a lead pipe hanging from a window...

And myself, The Hitchhiker...
Sorry for the poor quality, we're still saving for a fish eye and SLR!
