St Georges was my first Asylum & water tower, last time I was there the builders were converting the staff accomodation so I reckon there's not much time left if you want to see it.
The place is pretty trashed, the wards have very dodgy floors and lots has been burned at various times. The tower is cool, theres an interesting 2nd floor chapel and the hall is only slightly fire damaged, there's even a projector room. The modern tunnel system is fun, especially running directly under security! Only 6 people have ever climbed the tower!
It's right next to the town centre in Stafford, probably worth a visit if your passing...
