These were taken at various times so apologies for quality absence as they had to be taken quickly before any bugger found me out there!
They are interesting for historical reasons as the new PFI build obliterated much of the site at the St Mary's end to accomodate the new build.
The old Sparshott House Nurses Block now demolished:
Looking South towards Fallowfield, Birch Chapel in distance:
This is nigh impossible to see from ground level - it is an internal Hospital Chapel near to Ward SM8 nestling in among the surrounding structure:
Looking towards Moss Side across Whitworth Park:
Looking North towards the City across the sprawling MRI Site:
Showing Cobbett House which actually houses a huge water tank inside the upper part of the tower shown here:
And finally the huge cranes in use at that time - I should have climbed that one!!!
