Hi guys,
We went to the morgue yesterday. I heard that this place was very run down so wanted to see it before it got any worse.
We came across it by chance really when looking for a parking space. It's nice and out the way so didn't get seen by anyone however someone had parked their car right in front of the building.
It was easy to gain entry and once inside we explored for about 15 mins. Was very interesting to see the old tables and fridges and chapel room. The state of the building is really bad with water coming in from the damaged roof. Would have liked to have seen it when it had recently closed. Looking forward to explore more.
history
Originally St. Peter’s Hospital was built to serve casualties of the Second World War. Over the years, the hospital has been rebuilt, developed and extended to include maternity services, a departmental and clinic area, and a new theatre complex.
One of the two beds that are left.
Some random graffiti.
Shower/toilet room
The fridge doors
On the inside
The chapel window
The notice board.
Hope that's ok, sorry I'm not the best photographer.
