Me and Chubbs went up the dissused Sundon Chalk Quary on Friday
Sundon Chalk Quarries are part of a large disused complex of chalk pits just to the west of Upper
Sundon in Bedfordshire.
Just thought I'd share some of the better Pics we took:
One of the underground passageway entrances
Some of what can be found inside
Then we moved onto what looks like a storage bunker of some sort
This is the main entrance
Some pics from inside
Some left over equipment
Another entrance now blocked up
Another one with just enough room to squeze through
Some of the left over evidence that once there was a railway on the site serving the chalk quarry
If anyone is intersted in meeting up there we can arrange something, up ther quite a lot lately so anyone is welcome to tag along.
