Sweden were not combatants in World War II, but over time, well prepared, and this cavern not very big, but always nice walk around in the Swedish bedrock, in a facility nearly 70 years after it was real-life situation.....

There had been unrest in Europe during the 1930s, boot trampling from Germany had for several years, echoing all the way to Sweden, and after 1-3 September 1939, Sweden was a fait accompli, 2nd World War had broken out....

Sweden had at that time a large amount of heavy industry, from mining, through the glass works and engineering, to various forms of steel / iron works. Now there was a feverish activity, in case an attack from Germany or the Western Alliance, was to protect and save especially the workers of all these different industries.

When it comes to this rock shelter / facility, I am a little unsure of the use, but it was probably only shelter for the workers of the industry around, but might also have been command center for the local Administration protection. (Works guard was part of Civil Defence and the task was to assist in the protection of its facilities and personnel in major industries, including leading the rescue work)
