At a location north of Stockholm, the nature is slowly but surely regain previously lost ground.

In this space, it has for a long time been mines, but during the second World War, in 1943, so began the construction of this, modern for its time, mine. 1947 the plant was completely finished.

The mine got an automated processing plant. This mine was later to become a model for other modern mines built up in Sweden. The automated operation meant that the mine could cope with such a small workforce of 28 men.

The mine closed in the end of 1975.

This was one of the first ruins I photographed, 5-6 years ago, but I have been there many times since then, mostly to wander around and enjoy the environment, and take an occasional new picture.
