The Day

After talking with a local for a couple of minutes the week before they gave away alot of info hence me heading back up for this.

An amazing entrance which reminded me of something from Thailand.

This has been locked for years so it was good to get inside.

History

1873 marked the opening of the Ross & Monmouth Railway which crossed the River Wye twice and penetrated two outcrops of rock with tunnels

This Tunnel is the shorter of the two tunnels at 440 yards, the route was closed in 1959
