Question - Tendring Heath Hospital

Just wondering if anyone has any photos of Tendring Heath hospital, in Tendring Essex. This has been derelict many years. Thank you

That takes me back a bit! One of the first places i ever tried to go explore after seeing it on 'workhouses.org' or some such hideously outdated (but very useful) website.. I never did get in it tho im afraid, not long after i went they built a big modern bit next door and started using it again. Must have been 2005/06 maybe??

'Oaktree manor' it seems to be called now:

(That said looking on google it looks quite deserted again so maybe they have stopped using it for a second time. Sadly tho if thats the case its not been empty for as long as you might think.)

It’s definitely empty again now, at least a year, but there is security there. Next door is a care home in a seperate building

Makes sense. Sadly it's not a hospital thats been sitting there derelict for 25years or I'd be all over it. Might be worth a look tho. You never know.

Had a nose around this a few months back. Most of the inside is modern and what isn’t modern is heavily stripped. Made a decent night out though.

I think so. Mum was in the care home next door and there was always a car parked at front of old hospital. It looks very neglected so not sure
