Thank you Yorrick this was an amazing place and experience, that is also
very beautiful in its own way : )
also explored with The Shepshed Diamond Back.

History

The Counting House dates back to the late 1890's and was the cattle markets
refreshment room, it is also a grade two listed building.
Leicester cattle market opened in 1872 and closed in 1988, the architect for the building
itself was John Breedon Everard. He designed it as a single storey building made from
red bricks, along with decorative iron cresting's and arch doorways there was a lot of
attention to detail, with the clock tower in the centre.

Unfortunately I couldn't find information on the clock itself , even after a lot
of research. I think its fair to say this is one amazing and historical clock,
and I am thrilled I got the chance to go up there and see it.

An old photo to really appreciate the historical qualities of this Clock, that has defiantly
stood the test of time.
