HISTORY- the MILL lies on the outskirts of croston village near chorley lancashire , an establishment that was trading under the QUALITY HOTEL BANNER ! it was a well known wedding venue over the years it was trading and there are no shortage of wedding stories , good and bad !
the hotel is a tired dated building that belongs back in the 1980s , peoples reviews said the place was dated and slowly falling apart , its heydays have long been left behind in the 80s/90s , boasting 46 rooms , a la carte restaurant , conference centre , three bars , wedding hall and a large dance floor , the mill catered for all your special events needs .
the place had been slowly falling apart over the years , lack of investment in modern facilities , spiralling debt and increasing lack of maintenance and a drunken surly manager who was probably sick of the uphill struggle of keeping this place open !
closing for business in late 2013 , this former 3 star hotel is shortly due for demolition , it has already been fenced off and there is digger on site already !
THE EXPLORE- finding and entering this place was easy ! nobody seemed to be interested in our presence at the site , secca is non existent ! there are lots of rooms and corridors looking the same and leading everywhere , the bar areas and kitchens were more interesting ! we spent aprox 3 hours in this hotel facility , setting up a silly photo shoot and having a bloody good root round and nosing at discarded paper work , visited this place with my trusty derping sidekick @Cazel#HT who enjoyed nosing more than me !
