Visited twice with Landie and with UKMayhem 2nd time round. Having been thrown off my trolley at Landie's birthday do the night before the first visit (LOL - it was great fun) we headed off here in the morning.
-First visit: Was nice and relaxed, despite being nothing particularly special we had a good hour or 2 there before it being cut short by tripping by what we thought was a PIR but turned out to be the alarm on a door when you leave it open (there was one downstairs that was so low on battery it made a pretty funny sound). Got a few pics. Surprisingly the electricity and water were still functional with burglar alarms live too!
-Second visit: Again was good fun (with some great comedy moments courtesy of UKMayhem) and got some more decent pics. Returned to see the gasmen outside the main gates cutting off the gas - someone had been in and cut off the electricity off so anything that was on was on battery. Finished off rest of offices, and found that someone had stuck sellotape over the button which stops the door alarm to stop it ringing.

Awesome place. Tom the orange and black boxes are clocking in machines. Alarm is elsewhere. Great photos and report mate. Fridge
full of food was odd! Leccy off and leather jacket missing. Also asbestos suits appeared in the days we were absent!

This has bought some memories flooding back - I worked here briefly in the early 90s (a few days work via a temping agency) and I can genuinely say it was one of the worst jobs I've had in my life. I was on the Heat Finishing department and it was awful - the job consisted of moving some metal parts in big heavy baskets from one place to another and dipping them in various chemical solutions. All I remember is that a) it was unbearably hot b) there was an awful chemical smell that stayed with you for hours after leaving and c) it was horrible long night shifts finishing at 6am. I genuinely don't think you'd get away with those conditions today.

Seeing these photos has bought it all back to me and I can almost smell the place! I don't suppose it helped that this was the early 90s and I'd been out raving at the weekend beforehand which made it extra challenging!

Welcome, fellow Aylesburian! Always interested listening to stories from people with memories of these places. My Brother in Law had a job interview here in the 00s!
