Been a while since I managed to get out anywhere so apologies if rusty!

History
Not a lot of detailed history on this, I've tried Historic Environment Scotland, Buildings At Risk and Cranmore but beyond a wider history of the religion and merges with other churches, there's not too much out there that I can see. Happy to be corrected.
Built in 1885, The United Presbyterian Church was built in a gothic style to give it a medieval feel. It was decommissioned by the Church of Scotland in the late 1970s and has had several owners with different intentions over the years, ranging from workshop to film studio.

It's only a small place really, just a Church I guess, but I still spent nearly two hours in here just enjoying the peace and quiet (except for pigeons). Some of the upper seating area has rotted away with it being wood and you may have to jump some holes but was very enjoyable all the same. I forgot to look for a way up the bell tower and I may have to go back and see if I can right that but overall a very lovely morning. Please enjoy!

It was an events center/wedding venue for a bit so I'm guessing it was during that phase! It's had a lot of uses this place haha!

Hi everyone, please keep out of this building. It belongs to me, I have planning permission for a house and film studio here, it's not abandoned, but it is heartbreaking to find it continually broken into by urban explorers because then its publicised and I've had dozens of break ins bc of this. It's not open, it's broken into, it costs a fortune everytime this happens and it gets advertised as abandoned. I've had to reboard all of the downstairs windows and I see these pics were taken after that. I'm sick of the break ins, sick of the thefts bc then the building is open. You can't leave tools on site bc of this and now I have been forced to pay thousands for CCTV and alarms tobtrybto keep you out so that we can work on the property to save it. Do you also realise how terrifying it is to walk around your own building and find someone hiding or worse still open a door and come face to face with someone? The building is being worked on please leave it alone. Thanks

Id ask for your money back for alarms then as they obviously aren't very good.
Generally Urban explorers dont break entry so posting this on here will make very little difference, its the thieves, vandals & kids you need to target.

Best thing IMO would be a sign pinned to door stating its owned, & maybe offer to let serious photographers in for a small fee towards renovation, this has worked at several other known locations & once the word gets around you are "allowed" in a place most people will just stop tying.
plus you will have some well documented pictures which you may be thankful for in the future,

Thanks that's quite an arrogant reply considering. The issue is that urban explorers break in then make posts like this and videos on YouTube and advertise the fact that the building is empty which then leads to other people breaking in. Instead of apologising for breaking into someone's building you make snide comments. We're having alarms fitted at the moment and cctv connected at the moment to keep you people out, but why should I have to spend thousands of pounds doing that? Could you not just have some common decency and leave other people's buildings the h*** alone please? This thread serves to inform you that the building is owned it will shortly be occupied please just keep away from it, you have no right to be in my building. How would you like me breaking into your house? I have tried to be tolerant and pleasant about this as much as possible but really it's getting to the end of where I am prepared to allow this to go. Please take heed of my request to keep out of my building, stop posting videos encouraging other people to break into it as well, It's irresponsible it's stupid and it's wrong please stop. Oh yeah and none of you are 'explorers', you don't climb the Matahorn or canoe down the Amazon, you just cause a nuisance damaging people's property.
