BBA had seen Phantom bishs Lead on this site http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums...-aldershot-outskirts-hampshire-reservoir.html so headed out to check it out! Surprised no one had posted on this already. The site is between Ewshot and Upper Hale. When you walk onto the site, you are greeted with the view of rows and rows of arched roof structures! There are four separate Resevoirs here , three rectangular ones and a round one,which was a bit of a surprise! The roof has about ten hatches of which two lead into the Reservoirs! There are some great looking cast iron vents on the roof, some of which have been taken! We headed down into one of the rectangular Reservoirs via a central ladder. Inside the roof is supported by concrete looking pillars and some of the metal support straps have rusted away, one is rusting on the floor, its damp but not flooded, there's also some pipework and valves too, all rusting away!I would guess that it was almost 50 metres in length We then made our way into the second Res which was about 30 metres wide with metal pillars supporting the roof! I would add that the ladder you use to get down, seems a little unstable and seems to be coming loose at the top, where its fixed to the concrete! Some more pipework and valves!

I could find absolutely no history on this great Reservoir which is a massive shame! If anyone knows anything about it, let me know
