Not a huge amount to see on this site, nor is there much history but it's an interesting landmark, seen from the A50, so thought I'd take a gander on a wet morning.

Pulled from another site:
In 1723 Lord George Vernon the owner of Sudbury Hall built this fortress like structure to keep his deer in, it has been named Vernon's Folly it is situated in a field just off the A50 at Sudbury on the opposite side of the road to the hall.

The Folly is Grade II listed and according to British listed buildings... Red brick with Sandstone dressings. In the form of a castle with a gatehouse, four angle turrets and curtain wall on three sides, enclosing a large square space.

Hope you all enjoy the limited photos I took. As I say, there isn't a whole lot too see but it's still a little bit of history!
