One from our recent half-day trip. After an unsuccessful attempt to get inside a power plant, we visited this location - old waterworks, which have been abandoned for a few years. I don't know much about them - there is an old part, which I'll post in a separate thread, and a newer, modern one. I don't know anything about history; official sources are scarce. The waterworks have been there for quite some time - I'd guess the old part is 60 or 70 years old, maybe even older. Also, I'm not a water-treatment-technology expert, so don't expect any educated insights - I have no idea what half the things there do.
Anyways, the explore was relatively uneventful. After getting in, we explored the place and went to the old part through an underground collector. Overall, would recommend.
These should be some kinds of tanks - there was something that looked like sand at the bottom, so maybe filters? Idk.
Same thing, different angle.
A different tank - I suspect this is a settling tank. Underneath are tanks with calcium-based powder - I don't remember exactly, but I'd guess calcium hydroxide.
The pipework underneath the tanks.
A control panel next to the pump room.
The pumps.
