In May of 2011 Jos and visited this Shipyard

Info:
In 1918 this shipyard was erected by three shareholders: the city and 2 tug-boat companies. The shipyard had a patent for a special steering unit for ships: a simple and robust construction with good control characteristicsâ€￾. A total of around 200 ships were built. Most ships delivered were intended for German inland shipping. Most recently the site was used as repair and ship conversion yards for the production of steering gear and nozzles, as well as supplier of sections and hulls. Besides a slipway a crane there are three factory halls on the site. Due to lack of orders The shipyard was closed in February 2004.
