Slowcoach!! We went here a couple of months ago after seeing Small's report from the summer. Bit of a nailbiting explore with all the lights on and thinking that we were going to get bonked over the head by some mafia boss with a deaded alsatian. Anywayyyyy....it's basically a big house being built by some extremely rich person. It had a piano and a crazy roof that we tip-toed around Very swanky!

Yeah some super rich dude owns it and is doing it up I guess. I think it's the second biggest privately owned house in the UK or something?

That's right, the first being Buckingham Palace. Owned by the richest woman in Russia, the wife of the country's Mayor.

With most homeowners worried about the plunging price of their property, there's always the exception that proves the rule.

After being sold last year for £32million, the biggest private house in London bar Buckingham Palace has just been bought for £50million - a 56 per cent rise in 12 months.

Witanhurst, a 90-room Grade II Queen Anne listed mansion in Highgate, is the latest investment by the Mayor of Moscow's wife Elena Baturina.

She is the richest woman in Russia in her own right with a fortune of £1.3billion.
