Location: Blackburn Royal Infirmary

State: Demolished, Main (Listed) Building Remains
I have wanted to explore this hospital since day 1, the opportunity came along and I snapped it up straight away.
An early start was in order, despite me mistaking Host's phone calls for my alarm clock and rejecting the calls as I would my snooze button, we arrived under the cloudy morning sun to this magnificent building.
The hospital opened to the sick in 1865, sadly closing it's doors in 2006. The rate of decay in this place is phenomenal, roof panels removed make way for rainfall, stripped wires make great tripping hazards and broken windows offer feet crunching satisfaction.
The only section remaining is the listed section, the war memorial building. Regardless of it's condition, this was my one of favourite explores and a big shout to Host and Oldskool for all their help, advice and for putting up with me.
