Final ever of photos of the Dover ABC.
I've only ever taken the trouble to photograph four derelict cinemas, the others being Kingston, Redhill and Bexhill.
Cinemas, well - it seemed to me that they didn't interest me too greatly, except, once having been inside, well I was happily surprised on three out of four occasions; I found that once you get into the buildings, you start to see some amazing things.
The exception was Bexhill; I didn't even get my camera out for that, which was a disappointment
(building-wise at least). x
Unlike at Kingston and Redhill, at Dover there was nothing in the way of cinematographic items left behind here, but more so items of architectural interest.
These were taken on 23rd July 2014, and ten and a half weeks later, the building was a reduced to a pile of rubble, all except about one third of the façade.
Posted for local historical interest.
These are at the front of the building, at the top where a ceiling had been removed:
Projector room:
Moody bog shot-
Internal plasterworks had been removed and placed aside for salvage -
