This was a quick stop on the way to somewhere else with Gigi in Italy last year. It was mostly trashed so we didn't spend long here but there were a few nice bits including a very impressive hall covered with frescoes. I'm afraid I can't find much history. All I know is it used to be a recovery centre for polio patients which remained operational until 1973. I think it may have been turned into a school for a while afterwards but I'm not sure.
