Crookham Court school is located on the site where Crookham manor used to stand. Crookham Manor was constructed near the beginning of 14th century.
The current building began construction circa 1850, after Crookham Manor and the subsequent building were destroyed in the mid 1500s and mid 1800s respectively

Crookham Court School closed in the late-1980s after being exposed by the BBC TV programme That’s Life, leading to three members of staff being convicted for sexual abuse:
School owner Philip Cadman was sentenced to 10 years in prison (reduced to six years after an appeal in 1992)
French teacher William Printer was convicted of two indecent assaults and one attempted serious sexual assault and sentenced to 10 years at the same trial as Cadman. He also had his sentence reduced to six years.
English teacher Anthony Edmonds was jailed for six years after admitting four charges of serious sexual assault and seven charges of indecent assault.
In 2012, 48-year-old Mark Standish was found guilty of incidents that took place between 1988 and 1989 and was sentenced to four years. He later appealed this verdict, unsuccessfully.

After the school was closed, Crookham Court was converted into flats and bedsits, but the building has stood empty since 2007 and is now rather dilapidated. There are currently redevelopment plans in the pipeline to turn the main building into an eight-bedroom mansion, and the outbuildings into 13 smaller properties.
One of the other explorers we bumped into (incredibly busy place - saw at least different 4 sets of people there) said that he heard that this is scheduled to start in April.

Visited with Whitelighter on a beautiful September day, the place is a fantastic explore.

Whitelighter found a rather appropriate page in one of the libraries books, Growing Up published by The Royal Society of Medicine Note the official advice of just giving in to the attacker...

We then headed over to what I can only assume was a science block, as was full of sciency equipment and chemicals.
