The Ballingham tunnel(A couple of miles south of Holme Lacy in Herefordshire) is 1208 yards long. It was opened in 1855 on the GWR line linking Gloucester and Hereford, and served for over 100 years, finally closing in 1964. Visited with Victor Cyborg. We didn't carry on through to the south portal as it was overgrown.
Looking back just inside the North portal.
One of the many alcoves running along both sides.
Strange plant life that does not seem to need light... UHhhh- right.
Thanks for Looking. My first thread, so do forgive any technical Faux-pas
