Clearly a not very visited post due to both its location a few miles off the m6 at its highest point and the fact it's pretty much in someone's garden.
It hasn't been broken into and indeed seems to have the same type of padlock as many of these posts.
(does anyone know if a master key is available?)
One to revisit at some point in the future

Yeah, I was just passing last summer and went to have a look. It was fairly late on aswell so I didn't bother hanging about to see if I'd caught anyone's attention.
Having read another report I know there is a chance the farmer has a key

The structure of the post looks in excellent condition. You could have FSM'd it (Cam down the fsm tube) but because it's locked chances are it hasn't changed much from the last report, also it's right next that house so it would have looked a bit dodgy ;)

Normally I go and find these posts on my way home from places, grab a few quick pics and mark the places with GPS. Then decide if they are worth another visit. Iv found them in the dark and allsorts and there's nowt to worry about generally as I'm sure the people who do live close are pretty used to people coming to find them these days.
