Bangor School

Really not much history on this place, the school was built around1871,
Presumably due to high maintenance costs & dated facilities the old site of Ysgol Cae Top has been abandoned in the middle of Upper Bangor since the school moved to new premises in 2009.

Been covered plenty of times before but its a nice pleasant wander with some great decay despite the locals keeping a beady eye on the place.

Wow Thankyou for this post! This was the school I used to go to always been interested in what it looked like now, much smaller than I remember especially the hall where we all used to pray every morning! The painting on the wall is the same as when I used to attend and that was at-least 20 years ago!

It actually looks like it was a nice place to go to once upon a time!

I used to go to school here ! It's soooo weirdly nostalgic looking at these pics. I went back with a friend in 2016 and to see the decay since then (it was already bad in 2016) is crazyyy. I have so many memories from that place. I was in year 5 when we moved to the new premises! these images are so strangely haunting and equally comforting. Thank you for capturing these images so beautifully.
