BOCM Silcock started in the 19th century and was one of the earliest crushers of oil seed to produce vegetable oil for human consumption the by product was a good source of protein for animal feed.
Paul's Agriculture also founded in the 19th century, initially to trade malt and barley for the brewing industry, they expanded in trading maize and other foods for horses and from the early 1900's they produced food for other animals too.
This has been the second visit here and still yet to get into the boiler house and both times got soaking wet..third time lucky.
