Report - Bowmans Flour Mill..Eggbrough, march 2019

I had seen this pop up a couple of times, so whilst me and janovitch and man gone wrong were in the area, we gave it a look. The mill has been around since 1870, the Bowman family started milling there in 1940. The original watermill was demolished in 1969 and a new mill was built. The mill closed down in 2016 as the company seceded to cease milling operations, the company continues though as an ingredients manufacturing business. You can see extensive damage in the mill were contractors have smashed walls in too move machinery about. But it was a nice place to visit with some nice bits left.

Love a bit of millage. Great set. Didn't think it would be gone yet though . I do like the typical mill look.

Thank you Jane. I really did not think it would be demolished. Like you say it's a traditional looking mill and seems to nice to smash it too bits.

I went a similar time to you, great condition, electric on and walls/floors demolished for machinery to be moved. Great explore, I did however return prior it’s demolition but had no luck as it was littered with cameras and security. Glad you managed to get in and document this place!
