April 2011 Jos and I have visit this brewery
Here some info:
Brasserie Henri Funck The brewery was erected in 1894. In 1896 the first coolhouse was introduced. In 1905 the factory got it first steamengine. The factory was managed by two brothers. In 1915 one of the brothers died and the younger one continued the business. In 1934 the grandsons of both brother got in the management of the brewery. In 1936 the factory was expanded once more: more buildings (for administration and production) were added and another steam engine was installed.
In 1967 there was an another expansion of the brewery : among others new kettles and a machine for filling bottles were built.
In 1983, when about 91 man worked at the factory, the production was closed. In larger part of the brewery an hotel was started.
