A lot of the equipment remains & the electricity is on,
some of the lights are on sensers & turn on as you walk along a corridor or access a room.
On hearing the release of a side roller shutter,
secca drove in circulating the court yard & drove out.
The walkway connecting the Guidehall & Magistrates court is locked, chain & padlock.
I had no problem doing this, hadn't been as relaxing as I wanted but worth the effort.

Central Fire Station, Nottingham by stranton

Opened on Shakespeare street in 1938,
(never had an opening ceremony because of the war).
The exterior has a portland stone front facade & brick rear overlooking a court yard,
the interior has a art deco style marble foyer & stair case with some wood panel rooms.
Theres a walkway leading to the Guidehall & magistrates court,
a bar, games room, kitchen & diner remain in situ.
Closed in september 2016, accompanied by a farewell ceremony with veteran engines
services being transfered to a new fire station on London road.

never did find the pole,
assuming its opposite side of fire engine workshops, (Photograph 8)
didn't want to risk being in view of the whole street.

Good effort stranton, I like that.

I like the way the trophy cupboard of this abandoned building has more in it than some football clubs.
