Meudon is a village just a bit south west out of Paris.
Meudon and the area around got a big difference in hight down to the Seine so many layers of different rock etc. can be found there.
The quarry i visited was a chalk mine, „White of Meudon“, later used for growing of mushrooms, the Germans had plans to install a weapons factory, did some work there but it did not come to fabrication; it became an air raid shelter for local population later.
In the 1980ties there worked a firm doing concrete casting. Don't know what's going to come nowadays, read something about buildings planned up the hill,
but I am not sure about this, because I can not really read and understand these texts and am not sure with the locations, there are severals.
This should be a report with good history and discriptions about quarrying chalk and the growing of champignons, but I could not get this done; I tried but it was too difficult, especially since I have to translate two languages and a special vocabulary is needed.
