Post is situated on a Civil War battlefield. There are padlocks in place, but the hasps are cut and the hatch can be opened. There is an aircraft post which has been turned into a viewing platform, with information board about the battlefield. The post was in good condition whe Nick Catford visited, but is now burnt and trashed. Real shame really as this was in the same cluster as two of the really good ones back towards Leicester. I didn't go down the post as some creepy farmer bloke stood still in the field watching me for ages until I went :crazy
