I know it’s been done and posted before more than once but as I’m new here I feel I have to post a report

After searching for places to find and coming across the hobbit house being only 40minutes from me I decided to give it a go and brave it as I’ve read the farmer isn’t happy if he catches you lol


COLIN STOKES JUST WANTED TO build a barn to store hay and house his sheep. Then he “got a bit carried away,” and ended up with a castle that looks like something out of The Lord of the Rings.
The Hobbit House, also known as Colin’s Barn, in Chedglow, England, has been abandoned since Stokes moved away in 2000 to avoid the noise of a forest marble quarry opening up nearby. He never finished his project, which he had started 1989 using rocks and stones from around his property, and concrete to hold them together.

Is a nice building just randomly sat there in the corner of the field, Shame the current land owner don’t cut the branches and weeds back and tidy it up abit

It is rather special this one. It's a shame some of the stained glass has been smashed but then I'm surprised it's not in a worse condition nowadays really. Thanks for the update and good report mate!

Thankyou, yea it is a shame I did notice some of the glass smashed but it still looks well, usually within a week building are totally ruined was nice to visit and see such a unique building
