Not much history so I'm going off what I've been told.

The court was built in 1908 and was open all the way up to 1986.. By 1999 it was bought and work started to renovated it into flats, this was the case up until late 2013 when the plans fell through and it was left to rot.

The county court cost £8,000 to build in 1908. When it was built, it also housed offices for the Supervisor of Inland Revenue and Surveyor of Taxes. These latter offices were accessed from Curzon Street whereas the court was accessed from Bankhouse Street.

The Explore

Nothing really much to put here, 3 of us went and 3 of us came out with injuries, 2 from climbing in and cutting themselves and one from falling when climbing back out.. Unfortunately we were too late too see the main court-room all that now is rubble (see pictures 2 and 3)...

DISCLAIMER
I would NOT risk or attempt going here, getting in and out isn't easy in the slightest and it is covered in sensors and cameras.. We only got in because of it being bank holiday Monday.. You WILL cause injury to yourself and whoever you take with you when you go. You HAVE been warned.

Enjoy.

I think what you are looking at could well be a laundry shoot. Or maybe even for rubbish. But seems unlikely to be a rubbish shoot as they've used faced bricks which would be lime putting 19" rims on a wheelie bin
