In 1989 The Cranleigh Brick and Tile Co Ltd established a brickworks on the site that had formerly been occupied by a chemical works manufacturing insecticides and fungicides from the 1930s. The site comprises a number of buildings left from the chemical works and a large brickworks building that is partly stripped out after closure of the brick production.
Part of the site is still used as a brick distribution depot by another company and there is a planning application for housing subject to a public inquiry held earlier in 2007.
There is still plenty to see and the site appears to be entirely unchaved.
The entrance is at the end of a long access track.
